1) Be sure to include your student ID and name on every assignment and every contact with the school.
2-) Each assignment will be graded and your grade will be sent to you by email.
3-) Your coursework will be monitored by live instructors, you can contact your instructor by email or by using contact forms that will facilitate your communication with your instructors.
4) You may take the course at your own pace on a period of six months, except in cases of prolonged sickness or absence due to military service.
5) Mattapan Tech is a non-profit organization, each student is encouraged to raise at least $50 for the school. (Not mandatory)
Project Initiation: The goal of the project initiation is to define the project and convince an organization to fund the project.
Project initiation is the first step of a project.
1) Develop a business case -To develop a business case, the following questions have to be answered during project initiation:  what it is, Why are we doing this project, who will benefit of it?
2) Write a project charter  (Click here to download a sample of project charter) If the project is accepted for funding, the organization will issue a project charter which is a formal authorization to move forward with the project.
3) Put a team together.- Once you have the project charter, you have to put a project team to plan the project.
4) Establish a project office - Once you have your team ready, you need to establish an office for the project.
* This assignment will be one component of your final project.  First, answer the questions in MS Word or word processing software and save it.  You will need the responses again later on in the program.
Project Initiation/ Business case   -  Assignment 4a
1 - Identify a business problem in a corporation, an organization or in the city where you live. Make a problem statement. (Per example: There is a need for a day care that closes late to allow mothers who work late shift to find a secure place for their children.)
2 - Identify all alternative solutions available: ( When you choose a problem statement make sure to think about other alternative solutions for this problem)

5 - Identify any risks or issues with the implementation of that solution
