Web
Design
The MTLC’s Web Design program teaches the skills
necessary to plan, develop, publish, market, and
maintain a web site for a small or home-based
business. The
course combines the basics of web architecture,
layouts, optimization and navigation with the
basics of e-commerce in order to reach more
customers for less money and serve customers 24
hours a day. Students in this program will also be
exposed to numerous new ways to generate income
using online resources.
Curriculum
The curriculum includes classroom studies and lab. The web design program
for small business is
composed of 12 weeks of study in:
· Web design
project planning.
· Web architecture
and development.
· Web optimization
and navigation.
Creating forms and Automated response system
Intro to Technical Writing
(10 weeks) $195 on Campus and
$300 On-line
Throughout the 10-week program each student will plan, design,
publish and maintain a small business web site.
Prerequisites
Computer
Fundamentals, Internet Communication, MS Word- unless exemplary skills in these
areas can be demonstrated before the instructor on
duty.
Receiving
a diploma
Students
who successfully complete a 12--week program will
be awarded a diploma from Mattapan Technology
Learning Center.
